Happy birthday, mommy! To quote grandma, "Fifty-six years ago, she went down into the Valley of the Shadow of Death to bring your lousy butt into the world--and what did it get her!" We have to keep the family traditions going.

I don't know if I can get the stupid picture to post, but we'll see! Always have a problem on LitNet!

http://http://www.online-literature.com/forums/album.php?albumid=900&pictureid=8155

@papayahead--OMG! I had the Lucky Lady cake for one of my birthdays! Of course, they had ran out of white guys--and I got a black one. I didn't mind, except the bag boys were teasing my mom and saying it looked like OJ Simpson (it was the same year of the infamous murder trial). They said she should buy strawberry syrup to put bloodstains all over the cake. Morbid creatures.:ack2:

And no, the stupid image didn't show up! AARGH! Well, if anybody wants to see my mom when she was a little baby, you can look in my album...or maybe this link will work: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/album.php?albumid=900&pictureid=8155

Happy Birthday, Sound! :)

An interview with Soundofmusic:

*Why are we doing this interview thing?*
I'll do anything for the spotlight.

*Are you sure you want to do this?*
I'm never sure of anything.

*Who killed Roger Rabbit?*
Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd collaborated.

*Whose footprints would you find in the fridge?* My fridge is a really scary place; I think it's some kind of vortex for lost food and...how did the cat hair get in the butter?

*So, how old are you?*
56 this birthday

*If you had a personal theme song what would it be?*
Another one bites the dust.

*Are you male or female? *
I'd say 85% female with a few stray masculine thoughts.

*What makes you keep coming back?*
A mixture of boredom and love for the place.

*Are you happy with the way things are here?*
Well, I really think the mods should run for the American presidency; but if the only well ran place I know of is lit net, I'll settle.

Should JBI get an + beside his name?
I think a triple x would give him more "pop"

*Which countries have you visited?*
4states in my own country and England.

*Which languages do you speak?*
I do fairly well with English.

*How do you like your home town?*
It was dull as a child and overpopulated as an adult.

*If you could live somewhere different, where would it be and why?*
I like the university town of Cambridge, England; the sense of history, the lushness of plant life, a mist in the morning and evening.

*Do you have any pets?*
A maine coon cat was left on our doorstep a few years ago: neutered, declawed and generally frustrated. He has a stuffed cat girlfriend he serenades all night.

*What makes you happy?*
Those 3 hours after you fal in love; before you begin to analyze it.

*What is mankind's biggest achievement, and its greatest downfall?*
Automobiles
Texting in Automobiles.

*Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God/atheism? *
We have an agreement: I pray and promise; he answers my prayers and forgets my promises.

*Which actor should play you in a movie based on your life?*
Well, while Kathy Bates, Rosie O'Donnel or Rosanne Barr would be more believable; I'd prefer Angelina Jolie.

Who is your favourite Beatle?
I really liked George, he was a gentleman, even when his best friend stole his wife.

*Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?*
One that could look in peoples windows; probably a parrot, so that I could also do a commentary.

*What makes you feel great about yourself?*
I think that no matter how poor my self image is; others always admire at least one of my traits.

*How did you meet your significant other?*
At the moment, there is none. I was married 32 years: I overtook the first Mr Sounds at the store we worked at (with my overwhelming personality and a bit of stalking); the second Mr Sounds was my highschool sweetheart (I'm not sure if he was aware of it at the time)

*Who inspires you most?*
My daughter: no matter what obstacles she faces, she overcomes them. Unlike me, she is very ambitious.

*What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)*Research, I like looking up my neighbors criminal records and surprising them with it when they insult me.

*What is the one thing you must do before you die?* Make sure I bring my "little bag of pills" in case I wind up in a nursing home.

*If you had to teach something, what would you teach?*
Couch relay racing and quality nap taking.

*What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?*
Having my daughter.

*What method do you cherish above all others, as means to improving your life?*

*What one thing would you NEED to have on a deserted island if you didn't have to worry over food and water? *
Do I have to choose between a tall handsome man and pastries and chocolate.

*If you were a king/queen for a day, what would you do?*
Settle the world budget and health care problems.

*What song is in your head at the moment?*
I always have inappropriate songs going through my head: "Taps" in hospitals, the whole time I was in England, there was this song about the Battle of Britain "We fired our canons til the barrels melted down...grabbed an alligator"; now it's something by Johnny Rebel about welfare checks.

*Which book are you reading at the moment?*
I'm stressed out, so I'm rereading the Harry Potter series.

*What is your favourite quote?*
"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation" Throeau

*Favorite avatar on the Forum?*
I liked the original satan that our member, Satan, had and Max's old Beowulf

*Favorite threads?*
The Blokes Thread, they never argue, never are controversial...great fellows

What's your favorite sandwich?
Italian Sub with two types of ham, salami, provolone and lots of veggies

*What time of day do you most often find yourself on the LitNet*?
late afternoon and the wee hours of morning

*What are you wearing at the moment?*
My favorite, a mans cotton tee and flannel pajama pants

*Favorite poem?*
"The Ballad of Reading Gaol" by Oscar Wilde

*First novel you remember reading on your own?*
"East of Eden"; I was motivated by seeing James Dean in the movie.

*What era do you find most of the books you read are from?*
I prefer British Literature between the late 1700's and early 1900's

*Favorite TV shows?*
South Park and Criminal Minds; and true crime shows

*Which Forum members would you like to meet in person if you could*?
I think I sort of prefer the forum to be my own private wonderland where I am forever thin, young and beautiful and all the brilliant people I talk to are the same

*Last words you said out loud?*
Nothing profound

*Last person you hugged/kissed.
I believe in hugging your family members whenever you go to sleep or leave; so my daughter.

[B]*What do you do (for a living) to be able to keep your LitNet addiction going? And are you happy with your chosen profession?*
I'm a very burned out hospice crisis nurse who daydreams of retiring

*What question would you like to ask yourself?*I purposely avoid a rapport with myself; it helps with the defense mechanisms.

*What would you like to be if you could change your profession?*
I'd like to be involved in law enforcement; not out front, some really nerdy job where I could hide in my office with my dusty desk, coffee and criminal files.

*Which one of the seven dwarves are you and why?*
Do they have one who stays at home all day and watches tv?

*What is your most outstanding feature?*
People are fascinated by my eyes, they are about 5 different colors...I'm told.

*If you could change one thing about the way you look, what would that be?*
I'd look 25 again.

*Which book do you wish you had written?*
Something where I wouldn't have to keep outdoing myself; something like Crichtons books...or Agatha Christie.

*What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?*
exercising

*Describe your ideal day, please.*
Breakfast, nap, lunch, nap, playing xbox, nap, dinner and up all night with computer, xbox, good food and charming company.

*Favorite movie?*
I like several: Pirates of the Caribbean series, Harry Potter and Twilight series, Star Wars newer series,

*Last movie you watched?
Clash of the Titans

*Favorite painting?*
I like most of Waterhouses paintings; I'm particuarly fond of one with a lady and knight

Bowie, yay or nay?
Loved Bowie during the androgenous glam years: Ziggy Stardust

*Wonderful Superman or depressing Batman?*
Did you mean ineffectual Superman and proactive Batman

*Something you want to forget but you never can?*That my bank account falls below zero every month

If you could relive one moment in your life whenever you wanted to, what would it be?
I'm greedy, I'd just like to go back to 25 and start over...knowing what I know now and without the first Mr Sounds

What was the best thing that happened to you during this year?
I'm still waiting...it's coming, it's coming

*If you could send one thing to the Room 101, one would that be?*
Well, I'm sure the room is filled with coffins and small elevators; so I will send a phone, that unlike mine, can call out of such places...I guess I'd better send someone on the other end also

*Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?*
I never pursue anything because it always runs in the other direction.

*Which care bear are you and why?*
I'm kind of more of a snuggle (that dryer sheet bear) and the old Teddy Roosevelt bears.

*One final word of wisdom for LitNet users?*
Read all of the questions before beginning; sign your name at the top and turn in to Scher.

How long did it take you to answer all of these questions?
3 days...are you impressed with my thoroughness?

*What question would you like to ask to the person to be interview after you?
Something scandelous

Maryd.
