I'm a Web author and I've just joined the Literature Network Forum. Some of my favorite authors are Poe, Borges, Kafka, and Gogol. I have written dozens of plays that parody popular movies, as well as several Shakespeare parodies.
I am currently producing a site with specially edited "robot readings" of famous literature, including (so far) Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven" (both in English and French) and Kubla Khan (by Samuel Taylor Coleridge), complete with sound effects and music.
One goal of my new site {edit} is to help folks (young students, especially) to become interested in literature by bringing the classics to life in a new way that is increasingly made possible by modern technology. Although text-to-speech voices still have their drawbacks, I carefully edit and tweak them for use in my recordings so that the final audio mix is of maximum intelligibility and interest to modern reader/listeners.

Thanks!
Brian
