Another thought provoking statement. I'm not sure about its poetic sound (although, I don't really know what I mean by that).
If I get a high grade at uni, I'm in danger of expecting the same standard unless I always aim for a pass and accept anything higher as a bonus.
Your poem reminds me of this.

There's a sense of pessimism in this, Prince. Perhaps Alzheimer's has its benefits (in poor taste I know - forgive me).
