I need your help, or good advice!
Let's have a brainstorm and please give me your suggestions, interests or whatever that is connected with Beckett's plays. I'm going to write my BA thesis and I need extensive topic! (about 30 pages) I was thinking about sexuality in his works or hmmm.... the role of a body.
thanks in advance! :)

I've read all of Beckett's plays and I've found that the main theme is the emptiness and futilty of existence. I find little of anything having to do with sex in Beckett's plays.

I agree with Jessy Melson. You won't find much of sexuality related theme in his plays. He focuses on the futility of our actions which are often repetitive. You can look up Harold Pinter's play for sexual themes.

There's some stuff that you could say about Beckett with regards to sexuality, but I'm not sure if there is 30 pages worth.
I think Not I, Happy Days and Play might provide something to work with on the topic of sexuality. Then there's that interesting relationship between Nagg and Nell in Endgame.

You may be able to work up a few paragraphs about the relationship between Vladimir and Estragon.

yup, as regards sexuality i would like to immerse myself in psychoanalysis or something. But i'm aware that Beckett's plays concern motives of futality and human existance. I think that it's too easy to write about therefore I would like to find something new.

Although it is obviously not intended by the author, the relationship between Pozzo and Lucky might be seen as oddly masochistic.
