I apologize in advance, Scheherezade, if this is the wrong category for this topic, but I didn't think it belonged in intros or anywhere else, for that matter. Move it as you see fit :D

In any case, I've found that since graduating, it is difficult to be accountable to myself for accomplishing all the reading and writing I want to do. While ideally I would find someone as an online mentor for explaining concepts when I need help, I could also settle for a pen pal with a predilection for literature and theory. Don't get me wrong, the forums are great. I do best, though, with one-on-one correspondence. My interests are varied and broad: Phenomenology, linguistics (usually centering around d/evolution of language), pop culture theory, digital media and storytelling, multicultural aesthetics, architecture, urban planning, art, and various topics in science. I'm not much for rote memorization (dates, names and such elude my five-second attention span), so someone who observes a bit of patience would be great. I'm also not so much of a radical as my past posts would indicate; my essaying is in a very different tone than what people have seen or would predict on the forums.

Well, if anyone's interested, PM me. We can exchange emails and start talking. Have a nice day, everybody!

An addendum: People with past disagreements with me would certainly be appreciated, too. The best way to expend the mind, in my opinion, is to address another perspective.
