"Business Week ranked the airport last in customer satisfaction due to long delays, bureaucratic employees, and overall oppressive atmosphere."

I've heard that Buenos Aires Jorge Luis Borges International is an even greater Labyrinth to navigate.:ack2:

I'm blocked from opening the article, but let me just add a few other contenders:

1. Lagos, Nigeria. Slow, hot & they shake you down for bribes.

2. Busher, Iran. Middle of nowhere. No waiting lounge. Get your bag & get out as they close the airport till the next flight comes in.

3. Miami. USA. Rude, macho & totally unable to comprehend what being in transit consists of.

London Heathrow - which was recently described as like landing in a third world country. Having travelled from there since its early days, I think that is a fair comparison.

Paris General de Gaulle - Almost impossible to find your way out of and, unless they have since put one in, there is no direct rail link to Paris. Thank heaven for the Channel tunnel.

I wonder if Ireland has its own Samuel Beckett International Airport where everyone is trying to come to terms with the absurdity of the situation. Weird, I feel as if I've been there before. . .

I don't like repeating myself but the last post appears to be meaningless.

Florida's Ernest Miller Hemingway Regional Airport accommodates carry-on luggage only, and features plenty of bars, as well as a small field where people can shoot and kill their own in-flight snacks. (Also, no women in the cockpit.)

Ok. I'm slow on the uptake & have only just managed to open the article link. Egg on my face, but I'm laughing.

"Awesome" Rores28! Man you really have a way with words!

They've got it wrong in the Robin Hood International Airport coffee bar. They steal from the rich AND the poor.

I think Pip just got served.

Oh my, does that mean I have to pop a cap in Brian's *** to maintain my street cred? As a reclusive bookish queer I'm not quite sure how these things work.

Never imagined a thread about airports could go awry
so I stopped checking this thread after the first two posts.

After 20 posts, I stand corrected.
