Writing Challenge - recycling

Similar concept to 'found' poetry. Take 10 pieces of prose from 5 different sources - the sources can be anything: cereal boxes, advertising literature, game instructions, newspapers, whatever's lying around. Each piece of prose should be between 20 and 40 words long. Use these bits of prose to construct an extract of a story about someone who hordes things.

I had to cheat slightly - most of the extracts are shorter than 40 word blocks, and some have been cut & pasted for the sake of narrative.
