Friday Thinking

[Delta40]

birds warble above traffic
water drips from the shower
in time with the kitchen clock
keyboard tapping is sporadic
as thoughts come and go

there comes a lull in singing
traffic is at a standstill
time seems to slow
as drips of water relentlessly
remind me of a stone existence
slowly being worn down
till life logs out

Bugger. and there was me thinking thanks God its Friday (tomorrow). Deltaesque scene setting of dripping showers and clocks and keyboard all becoming the body clock of existence and hopelessness. God knows how dark this would have been had you wrote on a Monday.
Is in your style that I always enjoy reading Delta.
