Tell me what you think. I made this in 7th grade, and I am currently in 8th. Just so you know, Zak, is based off of a real person named Zak Bagans, the host of the Travel Channel show, "Ghost Adventures". Goldfield Hotel is also real and is known to be the most active paranormal building in the world.

The Origami Dragons

It was a beautiful summer day in the small town of Goldfield, Nevada. It was 9 o’clock am and the sun was already high in the sky. Normally the residents of Goldfield woke up to a hot sandstorm, but the wind was calm and it was usually cool. Goldfield was a very quiet town, but highly known for having one of the most haunted building in the world, Goldfield Hotel. Now the reason why I’m telling you this is because that town was the home of a very special boy, Zak.
Zak was 13 years old and was adopted by Mary and Nick Phillips. When Zak was adopted, foster care company did not know who his biological parents were, but Zak had no biological parents, in fact, he was an experiment of Area 51 that had escaped.
Zak acted like a normal 13 year old and he looked like a normal 13 year old, the only thing that was different about him was on the inside. Zak had never once gotten sick, the doctors could never find out why, but Zak knew. He was also diagnosed with a new mental sickness that had no name, but it fell into the mentally insane category. This new sickness was not visible to the normal human, but he had an odd obsession with dead spirits and often visited the Goldfield Hotel to do his secret séance.
Zak was tall, muscular, and had short black hair that was normally slicked forward. If you did not know anything about him you would say that he was around the age of 15 – 17.
Since Zak is a VERY light sleeper his alarm clock woke him up instantly. He went downstairs to say good morning to his parents and told them that he was going to the library. After he walked out the door he went straight to the Goldfield Hotel. His parents did not know about his obsession about communicating with the dead.

He walked inside and greeted all the spirits. He normally did his séance in room 109 because that room is the most haunted and most active room in the whole building. The room was dark and cold with incarnadine walls. Zak took his stash of candles in the corner and lit them with the small lighter that was in the middle of the stash. Zak put all of them in a circle, sat in the center, and closed his eyes.
“Hello? Is there anybody with me right now?” Zak asked firmly
“Yyeeeeeeeeeeeeesssss,” a quiet raspy voice whispered in his ear
“What is your name?” asked Zak
Zak heard a huge slam of a door just outside the room. The slam was so loud that Zak opened his eyes and noticed that he wasn’t in the room any more. All around him there was black. He saw a dim light in front of him that got brighter and brighter. Zak tried to stand up and run, but there was nowhere to go. As the light got closer, Zak closed his eyes and he blacked out.
When he woke up, he was back in the hotel, but he didn’t feel like himself. He suddenly heard a growl in his mind and felt light headed. Zak has final figured out what was happening, the spirit was taking over his body and Zak passed out, as the ghost took control.
The possessed Zak ran downstairs and out the hotel’s doors. He blasted into his house and ran upstairs to his room and locked the door.
Zak’s parents ran up to ask what’s wrong, but Zak just said “Nothing!”
Possessed Zak grabbed at least 30 sheets of paper from his closet and uncontrollably started to fold the paper and kept folding until it resembled a dragon He then wrote on the dragon the word “Area 51”. The dragon miraculously began to fly. Zak opened his window and threw the dragon out. Zak waited for 1 hour then turned on the tv in his room and turned to the news. The tv showed the news intro and the anchorman appeared,
“Today at the 1 o’clock news, there was a huge explosion in the center of Nevada that could be heard within a 6 mile radius. During the explosion a satellite has taken a photograph of Nevada.”
It then showed an overview picture of Nevada with a small red mushroom cloud right over Area 51
“Investigators have already been sent to check out the scene. And now for the weather”
The news then showed the weather of the next 5 days. After that, it went back to the anchorman.
“Our detectives aren’t sure what caused the explosion, but it seems to have hit Area 51. All that was left is a little paper origami dragon with the name ‘Area 51’ under its wing.”
Possessed Zak tuned off his tv, very happy with the results of the explosion he then makes about 10 more dragons and writes random names of famous US cities. He then let then all fly out and waits for hours then turned on his tv again.
“Welcome to the 6 o’clock news. We have no clue what’s going on, but it seems like 10 cities have been completely destroyed and all that was left was these paper dragons. The latest dragon has been tracked by another satellite and had come from a small house in Goldfield, Nevada.”
Zak felt so idiotic for sending out so many dragons at one time.
“We have contacted the US Navy and Army and they his dispatched many units. That is all for the 6 o’clock news. Have a good night.”
Zak was very nervous and was wondering how long it would take for the Navy and Army to get there. Zak got up to shut his window, but as he was doing this, he heard a faint sound of several helicopters. Zak prepared himself.
“GET OUT WITH YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!!!” screamed the passenger of one of the helicopters into a bullhorn.
At this time Zak’s parents ran upstairs and screamed at him to get out. Zak just ignored every thing and began to fold more paper into a dragon. He wrote on this one “Helicopters” and threw it out of the window. The dragon flew out and dodged all of the bullets that were coming at it and planted a small coin sized piece of metal and came back to him. He waited 15 seconds and… BOOM!!!!! All of the Helicopters fell out of the air and crashed with several smaller explosions. Then all of the US forces came into play and the house was completely surrounded. He heard on his tv that the other dragons that sent out earlier started to destroy everything!
The Army then screamed into a bullhorn,
“BOY! BECAUSE OF YOU WE HAVE TO STOP THE WORLDS SUFFERING!!! SO WE PLANTED 300 TONS OF C4 UNDER THE EARTH’S CRUST!!! AND JUST REMEMBER YOU ENDED THE HUMAN RACE!!!!!!!!!”
“5… 4… 3… 2… 1...”
‘Goodbye world’ Zak thought

KABOOM!!!!!!!!
Zak could see nothing and wondering what just happened. He then far off saw a light, the same one in that mysterious room. He then blacked out. Zak, no more possessed, woke up floating as large rocks zoomed passed him and he figured out what happened. Since he wasn’t a human he could not die. So he was floating alone in the lonely emptiness of outer space.

I think you have a very good concept installed within the story. But I also must say that the ending at about the second last paragraph is a bit full on with the army screaming how he was ending the human race. I suggest you extend the story at the body and let it have more flow towards the ending. But I really love the concept of the paper dragons. Thanks for listening to my opinion ~ <3
