Chelsea
An angel in the making.
Far from beauty, see!
She puts Quasimodo to shame,
Except that the hump
Is elsewhere.
Fishmonger's breath,
Teeth like a Pub piano,
One black, one white, one missing.
Mole on her left cheek
Hidden amongst the spots,
And a ferret in her pocket.
Mind you, she's brilliant in the pub,
Drinks like a trooper -
Pints.
Rolls her own, too.
She's me mate Chelsea
No woman can compare
Glamour queen, she's not,
On either count.
She's a beauticians's nightmare!
Though she's elegant in her dreams
Prancing around in a white satin gown
Face like an angel from heaven
She walks down the aisle
People chant her name...
Chelsea the Swan
The princess
The angel
But then is awaken by reality...
She's my butch friend, Chelsea.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Maybe we just ought be a bit more careful who we're seen hanging around with in the pub!

Dolce and Gabbana - very nice. Only ever smelt it once, but I really liked it. (Classy bird, this, Chels!)

I'd be interested to learn the process of your collaboration. After all the specific details, the end-line is a welcome surprise!

Well it takes discipline and lots of fun as well. (pm'ing is the way to go prince) And since we live on opposite sides of the world... We can't stay up to all hours chatting and sharing ideas. It must be commuciation via a pm, sadly.

As Mary said, it was great fun, although pretty time consuming. The working with someone else adds a certain pleasure to the experience.

On behalf of Mary, who will be chucking out Zeds by the thousand, may I say a gracious thank you. If I ever find out the name of the pub, rest assured, you will be the first to know!

Very funny 'A Team' . Like Prince, I would be interested to know the process behind it. I tried a collab with Delta once, but it was awful, only half the lines were any good ;)
As a team I will christen you Maff.
cheers

Great collaboration M and D. I have tried but the poem wasn't publishable but I would like to co write one at some time!

Hi all it's the 'M' of Maff...
Yes... It's actually not that easy. I can't really remember when we started writing it exactly... But I played with a few lines gave it to Dave, he played with a few lines... and cleaned it up... Then he sent it back... I thought I wasn't happy with it. So I sat on it for a few days, I decided not to change anything. And here's the end product. Jerry it takes persistance. I find writing with someone else very difficult. But it's a challenge and I also love to see what the other person is thinking of when they read my lines. I guess you have to be in sync with the person. Think along their lines. Dave came up with the idea and we both seemed to like it.

This is great.. it's one you have to read twice. The descriptions are good and I love the last 11 lines, the ending is the best :)

On behalf of my good antipodean colleague, who is doubtless snoring her little Aussie head off right now, may I thank you for your kind comment. Or, as I believe is the more common in Melbourne: (Ahem)
Cheers, mate. No worries. She'll be apples! (I believe I have that right.)
