I was born a gypsy and grew up as such….somewhere along the road I learned of Robin Hood who stole from the rich and gave to the poor…that is what we did, except we were the poor we gave to. I went to the library one day and had someone show me where there were books on Robin Hood and how to check them out….they were never returned. I struggled to read them at age 8. Then I met Michael who taught me how to read and I got a better understanding of Mr. Hood.
We moved a lot from town to town, field to field, house to house. Somehow my folks always knew what house was being held open for us…and we would stay there for a week perhaps two or three before moving on.
Then I read of Cinderella as I got farther into my teens…and had many marvelous dreams of finding my knight in shining armor and not being a pleasant again!…thought I found him once but he ran away when he found out we were gypsy.
I have grown older and many characters have come into play in my life. I think the one I am most like is……
