The Sinner

Better is the sinner who is humble before God
than the righteous who is proud before men.

For what prideful man
bears greater measure of repentance
than he which smites his breast before God?
What righteous man
seeks grace with more fervor
than the humble sinner?

Yea doth the Lord not seek the vanity of a proud heart,
for the righteousness of men
is folly in the eyes of the Lord.

As it is written…
The Lord will destroy the house of the proud,
but he will establish the border of the widow.

He hath scattered the proud
in the imagination of their hearts.

Father in Heaven,
Give all men the wisdom of repentance,
that none be content in the own righteousness
nor proud against our brothers sin.

For in Your presence
there are none which stand righteous.
Let all men be wise of their sin,
that all may be saved by your Grace.

Proverbs 15:25
Luke 1:51

you know, I have read your other posts and I feel I am being beaten senseless with a very heavy book within an inch of my life without really knowing why. If this is the effect you are hoping to get then I must say, with me you have succeeded!

My advice would be to look up the word 'poetry' in your dictionary before posting stuff on here - I think you'll find the word is a couple of pages before 'preaching' which is what we have here.
