'His tail paints two wistful cherubs
On my balcony'

Mysterious but highly imaginative. Thanks

Intriguing one this, AIII.
Not sure I get it entirely, but that might be the point. The creative monkey suggests that ridiculous thought about how, given enough monkeys and typewriters (and time), one of them would write the Complete Works of Shakespeare.
That the monkey is being honoured by the Libertine with his 'irrelevant' nose (?) possibly suggests someone unworthy of receiving artistic merit... but it's all very speculative.
I think the main problem is that I don't get much out of it. There's not much poetry going on (bit of repetition; a few Emily Dickinson-style dashes) and I don't come away from the poem thinking I will uncover anything worthwhile if I return.
It strikes me that there is more thought behind this than has been expressed through the poem. But, as Prince said, it's an imaginative piece.

Thanks Blank verse for your comments and honest thoughts
But I do think that all the thought has been expressed in the poem, but thought is such a frivolous thing compared to beauty
:)
Interesting Read. :) thanks :)
