Mourning Suit. It doesn't suit me at all.
Where's it all gone?
Where are the laughs, the fun?
Suddenly, we're all so serious,
Up-tight, even!
Wary.
Where's the party atmosphere?
The swapping of jokes,
Appreciating each others work
But in a way that was made
For enjoyment?
Where's the Buzz?
The answer, my friends, is blowing in the wind,
A sour, black, foetid, soulless wind.
But why have we got here?
What the hell
Drove us?
That a few good friends did
What friends must do.
We stuck together in adversity
And suffered.
New York is quiet now,
Melbourne, Perth, lie silent.
Scotland, Devon, San Jaun
Mourn.
Sheffield weeps
Uncontrollably.
So does Bristol.
The Naughty Corner just grew up.
Please, my dear friends,
You know who you are!
Come back,
And make me laugh
Again!
Please.

Get a grip man..... it's only a quiet night in the middle of a quiet week.
Or else phone the LitNet Hotline - they have a Helpdesk manned 24/7 for this exact situation.
0800 575 7700
calls from landlines cost £100 a minute - calls from some mobiles will be considerably more expensive

Hill, we genuinely had a Polish restaurant in Sheffield, called Polonium (not a good name!) which had a sign out side that read "Eat Healthy, Eat Polish!" I never went it.....

Personally, as it is Thursday in the land of Oz, i think the gathering would have read better on Wednesday

*Aaaarrgghhh. Thrown in Swan River by small people in garish colurs, looking remarkably like my mother!!!*
Ah, Hawk, it worked, you see (double). The hordes have come out of the woodwork, if only to mock we poor innocent Celts! (And you've got to be careful saying that.)

Jerry, it's easy. Take the time that Delta sent the message, Forum time. Subtract five hours to get GMT. Add one hour to get BST, then add however many hours difference between you and her, (9, possibly) and it will be......Friday, by my reckoning. Or Sunday. Simples.

Wait till Sunday, add an hour, take away the number you first thought of, mulitply by the sqaure root on the hypotenuse, and you're quids in.

Quiet New York? I'm baaack. People put on some Lady Gaga. Will someone tell me what time it is. Or what day. GMT? It's not a mutated form of STD, is it? Delta will know :D
Good to see Dafy trading his mourning suit for a monkey suit. Same number of syllables but it just suits him so much better.

Give me three million reasons why not? In alphabetical order, of course.
Reminds me of this joke:
A mother shakes her son awake one Saturday morning: "Get up, it's time for you to go to the synagogue."
"I'm not going," the son answers, "and I'll give you two reasons: one, they don't like me there and two, I don't like them."
"And I'll give you two reasons why you are going," says his mother: "One, you're 45 years old, and two, you're the Rabbi."
