I have trouble with part III which seems to me to take away from the observational posture of the rest of this well-realized poem.

There are some nice touches in this poem - particularly in part I.
I guess the whole point of part III is that seeing and hearing what comprises life from the sidelines is no compensation for living (and thus knowing) it.
An elegantly constructed piece of work.

Ah, the futility of the human condition, aptly expressed. I particularly liked the thought of "a father tired of death". Thanks.

I think the meaning of part III is that despite our senses being filled, at the end of our lifetime, we know nothing.

That was the feeling I got. "What a waste!" It probably isn't, but the feeling prevails.

Thank you, oddly enough part III was the part which took me the longest to create.
