Ah feel loch Ah am nae understuid.
Some folk hink aam a rockit.
But its nae mah faut Ah swear.
If fowk dornt spick th' leid.
'en judgin' me is hardly fair.
Ah pure techt Ah cannae help it if yer glaikit.
Comin' tae mah homelain.
An' expect a pint ay cheer.
When yoo're th' bludy toorist.
Ye lang tae hear ye ain tongue.
Sae waggle it ye silly pom
Gang an' blaw yer ain pipe jimmy an' lae us aloyn.

Lol Delta. Think I got most of it but you got me on the very last word. It reminds me of being in blackpool a while back and in a cabaret bar with a singer doing a neil diamond number and a group of scottish ladies sang along adding the following :
Sweet Caroline
(Buckfast wine)
Good times never felt so good
(I dont believe it you're making it up you *****)
If you google sweet caroline buckfast wine you should be able to hear some examples.
I have never had the pleasure of buckfast wine or even seen it on sale here, south of the border. Have you, Lassie?

well I youtubed and listened to some 'numpties' singing it in the back of a cab. you compared my poem to that? although I see old drunks in Glasgow drink it by the gallon!
mmm what cadence (: i want to study literature in edinburgh next year, good to know i can make out most of the dialect. reminds me of reading trainspotting!
