Your song deceives
My ears
Tired of promises,
Longing,
Waiting
For the symphony of the wind,
For the blue waves of the sea,
For the cacophony of silence,
For the quiet sunset above
You wait from dawn
To dusk
In your green,
Grassed,
Lost grave.

What a lovely, but poignant poem. I especially liked that line about "the cacophony of silence", a very powerful use of words. Thank you.

enjoyable poem. Is the title a reference to Tom the singer? Or maybe the whole thing ?

Cool. I love Tom Waits, particularly his Blue Valentines album.

I don't know Tom's song, but love yours, its rhythm and simplicity. Thank you... Bar

A great poem - the partial repetition half way through is very effective. It echoes his gravel voice at its best.....

Lovely, I do really like this; I'm sure others will have more detailed comments, but it conjures up for me a vivid picture of the story you're telling and the emotions it evoked.
