Cerebral Journey to the Center of Emotion

Somewhere, someone was about to speak:
scuttle, rustle, hush hush.
A carriage of voices overtook the listeners
and an alleyway of gutters spilled
onto the pristine laces, maroon, high strung
shoes.
‘Oh my’, she said.

At nine they are no longer meant to shine
as conductors all pick up
and leave, the day is drawn close
brought to a close in a thematic enclave.

Littered tickets, cheap commodities,
a feeling of yesterday
and yet moving forward,
patiently we remain seated
as we enter the tunnels
we are no longer able to see.

Unguarded trains, this indiscriminate cloister
feet are nimbly meant to skip in.
Along the rails the ground shakes
like political hand-shakes.
Images of the silent cat, that photograph
repeatedly recaptured
with poise and symmetry.

A hesitant breath sulking on the windowpane.
A beating brain consistently weighing emotion
a meticulous heart
stubbornly preserving distance.

Guttural choking sounds, words falter.

prostrate memory-
paralysis incurred by her eyes,
recurs.

I liked the understatement in the title. It pointed at the destination.

mmm you have a very interesting style which i suspect says much more than you are indicating. I like the movement of this. trains, destinations, a world of possible outcomes

An intriguing journey, through either an actual, devastated landscape - or through an interior one.
