Entry
squeezed and pushed
out with pelvic muscles
spasmodic contracting
then lifeless slacking
slimey, whiny and blue
I crown
the cord already
round my neck

I was born with the cord around my neck. I blame all my poetry on this from this day on. If you were born the same way, I declare us cordlings. As such you should send me much money and love. It aint much of a beginning is it Delta? and the end is pretty ****ty too:)

Will PM you my bank details so that you can empty the £1.50 and do as you will and with my love I will ensure my first grandaughter is named Delta or Rumplestiltskin or something :)

Oh Delta, I loved this one... My son was born with the cord around his neck. 'Twas quite scary they took him away for a few minutes as he struggled to breathe... We thought we had lost him.

does this flow any better?

Either version you choose, it is frightening - but done with such brave economy.
