I think we need a thread for general discussion of football (soccer).

Anyone watched tonight's England vs Hungary? Teams were not impressive but all three goals were good, I think.

I didn't watch England vs Hungary, but Ghana and SA played each other in a friendly! And guess what? Bafana won! Hooray!!! Like a fellow South African said, the best part was that nothing happened in the second half :D We kept biting our nails in case there was a equaliser.

Wait. I thought we were done.The World Cup's done but there will be many friendlies as well as qualifiers (hence the thread title)... And what's a forum without a thread dedicated to football?!??!
I didn't watch England vs Hungary, but Ghana and SA played each other in a friendly! And guess what? Bafana won! Hooray!!! That's excellent! Ghana did so well at the World Cup so SA must have played really well.

Yep, as far as I know...don't know much about football cups/tournaments though, I must be honest. It all started this year (for obvious reasons) so I'm still a newbie :D

Anyone watched the UEFA Liverpool - Trabzon game tonight... Trabzon's played so poorly that I am surprised Liverpool did not do better than 1-0.

Any predictions for Trabzon - Liverpool?
