I am delighted to have stumbled on this site this morning when I googled Donne's "The Undertaking" that introduces chapter 39 of Middlemarch with which I'm currently bowled over. I started and gave up on Mill on the Floss and George Elliot some years ago so I'm thrilled with myself for giving Middlemarch a go and for discovering just how tremendously exciting it can be discover that you were wrong ...:blush5:
