A study of Juliet's behaviour towards her nurse shows a certain tendency to lesbianism.

I'm sorry, I don't think I want to get involved in a discussion whereby strange, unfounded assumptions are made, particularly the last one.

Edit. Just a thought, but there a forms of friendship, certainly more prevalent in the Elizabethan era, that were probably more demonstrative that we tight-lipped British today, but it certainly doens't fit in with today's almost slavish ned to prove that somebody was one of the already persecuted minorities. It is perfectly possbile to be the closest of friends with somebody, of the same gender, but not to have any homosexual tendencies. Try reading Johnson

No: she was a dwarf transsexual with a wig.

Given the nature of the story as a whole, surely you should be asking if Juliet was bisexual?

As for my opinion, the answer is 'no'.

Well show us your proof. Quote the passages. Frankly it's ridiculous.

You're basing this premise around a young girl's bahaviour towards her mother figure? Freud just turned over in his grave to come up with a new 'complex'!

Also, seeing as she asked the nurse to help set up her marriage to Romeo, I'm going to go with no on that one.

On what evidence from the play, or on what scholarly sources, do you base your claim?

What arguments do you use to demonstrate a relationship between this evidence and your claim?
