What a beautiful site you have here - and so much information! It is really what I've been looking for - a place where published literature is discussed in detail AND a forum where members can submit their own for critique and discussion. I believe that you can't truly appreciate something until you do it yourself (or at least try to!). I've been writing for years, but reading for so many more, and I can think of few things as satisfying as spending a day lost in reading Joyce or Melville, Hobb or Martin, and an evening putting my imagination into words, coiled up into a short story or a contest piece.

I won't waste too much of your time droning on - I'd rather peruse the boards and get to know people here! I'll part with this thought - we're here such a short time, and if you can't leave your mark in the halls of Alexandria, you can delight the souls around you with wonderful stories and poignant verse. Amongst all the turmoil, let us take the time to put into words what we too often leave in our hearts.
