Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach. A story of one different seagull in the big group that dosen't want to follow the laws Seagulls have set for themselves. Jonathan wants to fly, high and fast he wants to learn. He is hungry for knowledge and it pushes him to try harder and do better and this hunger leads him to a place he never could have imagined.

My copy has beautiful pictures by Russell Munson of Seagulls and they give the book more value. It is a short book, about 90 pages and many of them are just pictures.

Richard Bach is a writer and a pilot he has written a few more books like, Stranger to the Ground, Biplane and Nothing by chance. All have something to do with flying. But this book gives us more than just the story.

My favourite thing about this book is his choice of birds, in my community the Seagull is usually looked at with disdain. I am usually the only person speaking on behalf of the Seagulls.

This story is about someone who does more than is expected and even wanted of him. A good book for everyone to read, and it dosen't take long!
