I've come from celtic clan
and rule with an iron hand
I think that I am stronger
when I eat porridge with salt
but being less sweet
and eating haggis neat
I wonder if singledom is
actually my fault

I've been on vacation
and on this one occasion
this grey fortress
saw oats in a different view
I surrendered to the invasion
of porridge made by Asians
with coconut and banana
mixed through

I'm proud to be scottish
that part of me is waspish
and keeps the vultures at bay
but when it comes to porridge
I have finally got the courage
to eat it in a more pleasant way

Sweet porridge seems to invigorate your poetic take offs! Nice one. Kind of hawk'ian poem, pleasant to read, thanks! Have a wonderful continuation on the Asian roads... and please, do continue sharing with us...

Best to you - Bar
(should not Celtic and Scottish be capitalized? just an aside)

Well, isn't museli just raw porrige with sweet bits in? As a Scot, shouldn't you deep fry it though :D Just kidding. A nice light read first thing in the morning.

Best, H

Ha ha Delta. Very good.
Where I live in Asia its rice with every meal.
Alternate delicacies are "balut" eggs containing half formed chicks you are expected to swallow!
And then there is the strange habit of eating the rice by hand with one foot on the chair & the other on the floor.
Overall though I'm not knocking it, as I do manage to get Corn Flakes for breakfast.
