Life is a rose
When I worship its charm
At a distance.

Life is a thorn
When I hold its petals
In my palm.

Life is a rose
When I worchip its charm
At a distance.

Life is a thorn
When I hold its prime
In my palm.

Another nice one, though for me too much of a generalisation (sometimes holding life's prime scents ambrosia...). And a question: when you worship life's charm at a distance, where are you?
(a little typo, pls change "worchip" to "worship".

Very best regards,

Bar

Thanks, Bar, for your feedback again.

Would you be more specific on "holding life's prime scents ambrosia?" That threw me off a bit?

We have a saying in my part of the world~~The onlooker sees the best. That is, the outsider sees most of the game.
Life is like a game everyone is taking part in, and we all have our personal interests and stakes involved in the game. Hence, we're often lost and can't think clearly, let alone enjoy the fun and charm of life.
When I wrote "worship its charm at a distance," I meant we should play the role of an onlooker once in a while. That is, take a step off the game and be an onlooker--meditating on the beauty and the meaning of life.

Nice poem.

I agree. This is common among Asians.

This is marvelous. This is exactly what I feel. Life is beautiful when we look at it from a distance and it is romantic to imagine or dream but living it is not a dream but a hard fact

Life is beautiful like a rose.
The thorn is our making.
Very verbose minimalism.
Like it.

Thanks, Tailor, for the supporting words.
It does ring a bell~~one cannot always see the forest for the trees.
Keep giving me advice, would you?
