CONFESSIONS OF A SECOND-RATE WRITER
I’ve finally flipped, I need help I’ll admit,
but that kid in the glasses just gets on my tit.
No reincarnation; no Pharaoh, no Lama
yet he’s probably more famous than Barack Obama.
It’s taking obsession too far, I suppose,
but that bowing and scraping gets right up my nose
And it’s worse in the movies than there on the page;
so much grovelling from characters four times his age.
His pals get no kudos for saving his skin;
‘cause this mission is personal, so ‘He’ has to win.
I know I’ll be hated, become a pariah
for recrucifying this latest messiah
But it’s time I confessed how I murdered the brat,
“You’re dead, Harry Potter, now get out of that!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha haha……………………………………………………………………………………...Ha”

Hasn't anyone worked out yet that Potter is Voldemort?
I'm with you hill, ice the brat!

You mean I don't have to read any of the HP books?!!!!

Just my sense of humour taking a step off a ledge..... thanks Hawk. And Prince, the books aren't so bad (it's the way he's being portrayed in the films, agh).

Get the four-eyed little *#@+*! If we can get through life without him, so much the better. And don't worry, we'll come and visit you!

I add my confession to yours: I agree, and completely so, hill, though I wonder why
"recrucifying this latest messiah",
if he's the latest one, can't he be simply "crucified" or do I get something wrong? I suppose your poem murders the brat anyway and in it lies the revelation... :smile5:
Yeah, someone had to proclaim "the king is naked" - kudos for your courage!

Bar - you are correct of course in spotting my misuse of 'recrucifying'. Put it down to trying to scribble a poem and keep one eye on the pasta at the same time.

haha Hill. totally agree. the famous five and the adventurous four and even the secret seven are all so superior. thankfully hollywood never got a hold of any of them

I read this out loud and my daughter shouted 'he's *****ing about HP!' I was a bit slow but I appreciate we have all had our fill of the kid but I feel sorry for Daniel Radcliffe - his furutre is gloomy, I suspect.

WELL actually he's doing very well for himself, not just in the movies but more particularly on the stage.....
and apologise to your daughter, it's just that......... grr

she'll get over it. She has recently discovered the Adrian Mole diaries. Strangely, I always imagined AM to look just like Harry Potter

Whew! I'm glad the speaker and the creator of this verse are two separate entities--'cause the latter sure ain't "second-rate"!

Thanks again Aunty - for finding time to pass judgement on my heinous crime, and for your forgiveness as I do away with the boy-wonder, while secretly hankering for JK's success (and fortune, of course).

Don't think we need a vote in that one, Aunt.! Superb poetry AND disposing of nerds. Give Hillwalker a medal.
