How often do you change your look here on Lit Net? I tend to find that I like to change things up every few months or so. How about everyone else?

I probably change every few months or so, whenever the mood hits me or we have one of those weekends.

Most of the time when I change my avatar I don't have anything in particular in mind I just kinda do a search, what about everybody else?

I don't change my profile page because I'm annoed that I can't figure out how to make the picture bigger.

I change mine by the seasons. My christmas profile is really nice and shiny, my start of spring profile is horrible (the thaw is a horrible time of year, everything all muddy and brown, bleh!).

I don't change my avatar because I don't know how; thatt and technology scares me. I have changed my profile page. I'll probably do it again, but it will be awhile because while I enjoy the creative aspect of it (thanks for your help Janine and Scher!), it took along time to do it.

Sometimes I change my avatar on special weekends, and I change my profile page every few months, according to the seasons.

My avatar has remained the same throughout - it might change when I find a suitable replacement. My profile pic has changed once, and that was only because I thought the current picture was rather trippy, and better showed off my ugly mug.

I daren't change my avatar. Computers confuse me sufficiently that not only would I not know how to, I'd end up totally unaware as to which were my posts and which weren't

Gosh, I have never changed my profile page until now... I have changed my avatar. Firstly I had none, then Beethoven and then I fell in love with Cyrano, so have his picture now. I suppose I'll change it again when I meet another absolutely baffling thing...

I've only had two avatars here in my nearly 1 year membership, not counting my brief stint as Princess Anne for the Princess theme weekend.

The first was a lovely picture of a Giardia cyst, because it's possibly the cutest little intestinal parasite in the world, at least when you're not personally suffering from persistent bloody diarrhea.

The second, of course, was this dear screen shot of David Bowie from Labyrinth, I love the face so much I made it myself.

It does have a somewhat wicked expression though ...

I only change mine for the special weekends but I like the drawing I have as my avatar, but on the profile page I just have no idea how to change it, not that I have looked that hard I like the plain look, it's more like me than any pic I could put up there.

Oh yeah, avatars. I've only had two as well, I used to go around by this creepy bleeding baby:

I liked it but it didn't really suit me. Now I'm my favorite issue of Swamp Thing, which suits me just fine.

I actually worked out how to change my profile picture - I'd thought that it was the same as the avatar! Feeling quite pleased with myself.

You used to have an avatar that was a Giardia cyst - an intestinal parasite that's got something to do with diarrhea? Might one ask why? Why on earth...? No offence at all of course, but that's got to be one of the crazied things I've ever heard. :smile5: Don't promote intestinal parasites, responsible for diarrhea, beyond the status that they deserve. I'm sure David Bowie will be glad that he is the next option...

I don't like change. I never change my avatar and never will because it is clearly the best on Lit Net anyway - some artistic impression of Dorian Gray and it actually looks a little like me into the bargain - can't go wrong. I do sometimes change my signature photo though (it's been Wilde - Wordsworth - Milton - Wilde) and the signature quotations and profile bits and bobs when I have the inclination.

Really, diarrhea parasites, I'm most disturbed...

Is THAT what that is-I actually never noticed she was bleeding! I also thought your current avatar was a wolf. Swamp Thing is cool also.

Love your avatar, Neely-but not more than mine. :D

Even though I've only been around for about six months, (or something like that) I chose the 'I never change my avatar' (and other stuff - I forget what it said exactly) option, because I haven't yet. I mean, I've changed my avatar to a few pictures for a few seconds, but they haven't turned out great, and I can't seem to be able to make a good looking profile page.

So, for now, I'm still bland as ever. :D

Never except for special weekends. Why? This is how people identify me. And I like my profile page. Too much trouble to improve it.

Yeah it is easy to spot you Virg. ;) but then again, its easy to spot me too. :p

Yeah i've no intention of changing my profile. it works with my Avy and its Froud.

It's only a matter of time before somebody suggests analysing why we all use the avatars we do, and whether it is really an extension of our character or psyche. Are avatars significant? Mine, by the way, is a cuff-link in the neck of a wine bottle. Hmm
