View Full Version : The end is nigh

Nature desires me
to soak up
palm trees
on her shores
while I feel
the sting of sand
across my face
as a horse gallops away

The remains of my day
like sand grains
are crumbling memories
of good wishes
Fellow tourists
who dwell under
world's uncertain lease
bid me farewell

Nature is sound
and does not arrest
sad partings
She soothes me
like a temple of splendour
with her radiance
to let me mourn
that which must pass

NB Flying back to Perth tomorrow and wanted to thank everyone I toured with for making my holiday in Penang a fantastic experience

Sad and sound! and beautifully written, Delta, thanks for sharing with us your incredible trip! In this one, I particularly loved:

Fellow tourists
who dwell under
world's uncertain lease

but love it all.

Very nice D40 a calm, gentle piece that washes over the soul in a blessing of departure. It reads beautifully.

Best, H
