What's even more amazing, as Musicology will tell you, is that all that spins around the static Earth once every twenty-four hours.

So beautiful and amazing to see where we fit inside this almost infinitely vast universe.

http://www.futuretimeline.net/21stcentury/images/hubble-ultra-deep-field.jpg

This is the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, pretty much the furthest we have seen or can see into the universe, 13 billion light years; meaning, that it has taken light 13 billion years to get here, implying that we are looking back 13 billion years back into time near the beginning of the age of the universe, which hence brings us to the edge of space and time.

These are two colliding galaxies. They are so enormous that it will take tens of millions of years for them to cross each other and thus seem less like a violent collision of monster stars, but more like a galactic ballet.

Here is a picture of the impact of two comets hitting Jupiter's surface. These comets are definitely big enough to destroy all life on earth, but they appear as only small scabs on the mammoth giant of Jupiter.

Video of the actual event which was observed 15 years ago. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5jSNnitGNM&feature=related)

This, I think, nicely expresses my thoughts on humanity's position in the universe:

Indeed, Nikolai is beautiful to see the Universe like that. In the same time is a nice learning tool. Thank you for sharing this with us.
