How do writers deal with music? A question that fascinates me...
Shakespeare wrote lyrics to be set to music in some of his plays; Shaw was deeply knowledgeable about music, though he does not incorporate it into this plays; Milton wrote poetry for music; Burns knew he was writing partly for music; Baudelaire was deeply influenced by Wagner; Thomas Mann is obsessed with music; Dickens almost entirely ignores it except when there is a party.....
Anyone interested in this subject?
