Greetings to all - I'd like to introduce myself as a woman, known by the (nick)name of Mariadne. I'm just in love with the art of truly great writing, like anyone else frequenting this forum, I guess. Especially sensitive to Tolstoy.

Oddly enough, many people aren't big readers--though we have our share. A lot of people are here for the conversation. However, you may want to check the book club--and there are forums, I believe, dedicated to specific authors.

I've never read Tolstoy, but I've heard many people say that you need a lot of patience to read his books. I hope to one day, but right now I'm reading Watership Down by Richard Adams.
