Tethered to death,
we search for a sign of life, unsure,
when it flutters at the edge of our senses,
if it is but another stone blade
from the ancient scythe

An astounding tribute to a neolithic town in Turkey. I love the image of,
"...another stone blade
from the ancient scythe"
haunting poem, hack.

O hack, you're unequalled...
In Catal Hoyük, signs of life are many, it resounds with beating hearts one just needs to hear...
Your poem is sleek while flowing naturally from your fine mind...
"it flutters at the edge of our senses" is exquisite...
Be well - Bar

There's an interesting (intentional?) connection between "the edge of our senses," and the "stone blade from the ancient scythe"
Wonderful economy here. It's almost as if, by venturing one more syllable, you might have jeopardized the precision of this.

A brilliant, cryptic work.
Catalhouyk is an amazing site.
Thankfully it was has not been
razed like so many important
sites worldwide. There is so
much yet to be learned there.
I have followed the on again-
off again excavations there for
several decades.
