Searching the same old sky

Felt the same old fire
I heard the same old tune
Of the same old lyre
He was the same old guy,
Had the same old frown
But those were the same old folks,
Of the same old town
Stuck in the same old moment,
By the same old tie,
We felt the same old love
Like the same old lie!

I find this poem deeply absorbing! This unleashes some over and done truths. Aren't we drumming the same old trumpet in a different form? Is not our love story a variant of the same forgotten tragic and romantic lore? So engaging, I really feel thrilled.
