Warm tears slide down these cheeks of mine,
My heart shattered in many peices, in so little time,

I thought we'd be forever, but im questioning it if will come,
You said ITS OVER, and to think our argument was rather dum,

My chest feels light like my hearts no longer there ; THIS HURTS,
I think it melted the very second you spoke those words,

My heads pounding hard, I cant think straight,
I cant wooosah, I cant meditate,

On nothing but how much I put in this relationship,
Im trying to figure out how we got to this,

It's my second box of tissues, still crying fluent tears,
I wish we never argued , wish you were here,

my eyes close, sweet memories of you appear,
I think im feeling better, no more fear,

I'm slowly dosing off, as i feel dry tears on my cheeks,
I've officially cried myself to sleep!!!

I love the last line, it beautifully closes the poem!

this poem is a journey which so many of us have walked and can really relate to. Its lovely in its open display of pain.

Yes i like how it deals with a shared pain. We can really all relate to this feeling, some of us many times over. I am usually averse to rhyming, but here i have to admit it works well. The two lines that mrv has pointed out are my favourite.

Thank you guys. My sister was surprised that I posted it, but I wanted to let others see what she has written. She has a good talent for rhyming that surpasses mine which allows her to do that kind of stuff on the dot. I bet my sister wrote this one in under five minutes. It's funny when she says these poems are for friends, and yet the feeling in these poems seem to be coming from her so much!
