I wrote this a long time ago.



stay alive
don't curse
freedom mind
be constant, unchanging
pass through life
heat heart with your passions
hold hands
share poetry
share the bottle
share the mind
thoughts come in silence
eyes eyes eyes
meditate listening to rain
read by an open window
always carry a notebook
+ a dictionary
yearn for future
desire is everything
write down ur dreams
tell people ur dreams
share dreams
dreams are you and are most important

Welcome back, breathtest. you have given us a list of noble thoughts to contemplate.

This poem has much to commend it but this line:

"meditate listening to rain"

particularly resonates with me because I always have and hopefully, always will.

Bar22do - i do believe that the desire for something is usually a lot stronger than the feelings you get when you actually have whatever the thing is.

Your ideas are so vital and enriching. Some of the most stirring things that make us stick to the greatest truths in life. Yes if we can cherish these values and live by them life will be a flowing stream not a stagnant pool. People live very mechanized in fact robotized lives and distancing themselves from nature they have been machines, tools and not humans and after reading your poem I got driven to think differently. Very inspirational poem
