Bodies swaying to and fro.
To the music of Barry Manilow.
Hearts aglow.
Holding each other on the dance floor.

Dancing until weak in the knees.
To that hip music by the Bee Gees.
Ending the night in a sweet groove.
Listening to Neil Diamond.
Voice so smooth.

Music is magic.
And magic is you.
I feel magic to the core.
Whenever I hold you on the dance floor.

So is this nostalga for a time when the music mentioned was being played or is this a current poem as suggested by the future-tense word "whenever" in the last line, or is that meant to be the mystique of the poem?

This is magic incarnated and in a few words you have hit on the point. This has a rhythm and that really sways us

The poem creates a very steadfast instance and eternity. I really like the voice. I felt a twitch (not a bad one) when I read to the line ending with 'the Bee Gees', because from my perception such a music is crowded with very energetically physical movements. However, somehow I feel the poem managed to mute the music but let us visualize the bustle in the magical love.
