needs help with a topic

Hi all
I'm a graduate student and I need help to select my thesis for my directed research course.
I'm an ESL student and my major is English literature. I like Shakespeare, and like to read poetry too. However, I need help to select a topic, maybe you guys can help me with that.
I'm looking for something that deals with literature and ESL. I believe that since I'm an ESL student, I will be more comfortable in this area. I thought to do something that deals with a novel and how an ESL read,, or difficulties in understanding poetry.. sth like that
please help me …any thought will help...

Not yet. I took an appointment with my adviser next week. But I thought that it will be much better if I prepare at least three topics to discuss them. I'm looking for articles and thins online to see if I will find something that interest me.
