Hi :)

I am looking for this story, i don't know who wrote it, but i know its plot.

It is about someone fearing the existence of a murderer in the train he takes. It seems that it has become known what there is someone killing people in trains, and the main character fears for his life each time he is in one.
At some time we get to read about his fear, about a fellow passenger. It becomes, finally, so wild, that the main character, convinced that the other person is the murderer of the trains, draws his knife and kills him.
At that point he realises that it was himself all along who had been the murderer of the trains...

So, anyone know who wrote it, or what the title of the story is? :)

No... but it sounds very interesting... a bit like Macbeth's hurrying to fulfill the witches' prophecies before they fulfill themselves of their own accord, or Lord Arthur Savile doing pretty much the same in Wilde's story... :)

I find the idea exceptional as well :)
The person who mentioned it to me thought it was by De Maupassant, but i haven't been able to find anything, nomatter what searches i tried in google.

Well, it does sound like something Maupassant might write --- that unexpected ending is rather like him... But I don't know the story :(
