Did anybody that read that book dislike the character Tom Tulliver? I didn't like the way he treated his sister.

By the way, Why were so many unable to understand the book? I thought it was easy to understand and I'm a very "right brained" person.

I also found Tom Tulliver extremely irritating, so much so that I could hardly understand why Maggie loved him so much. It would have been easy to respect his ability, but not to love his personality.
