In the midst of storms,
In his fishing nets,
In the ebbing tide,
In the rising crest,
In the afterglow among the trees,
In the gathering darkness that drifts to dreams,
While language falters on the mind's tightrope,
And hot air balloons take flight with hope,
A fisherman in search of truth
Will dive the deepest seas.

A remarkable poem - very elegant imagery and I'm sure many of us can recognise the feelings behind the line
While language falters on the mind's tightrope

Short and dense and beautifully written!

So beautiful. Far-fetched. I am really thrilled to read the poem that goes beyond the mundane. Truth is morphed by language, culture, foreknowledge or fixation. And you have not taken aide of any of them and tried to unmask what it is

This is a very fine piece of thought and of poetry. It invites contemplation, it quietens as to enable one to touch upon essence...
I found particularly evocative (loaded with multi-leveled meaning) the line:
"And hot air balloons take flight with hope,"
but all of your poem is a gem.
Thank you, Bar

This is marvellous throughout but I was especially taken by this line:
While language falters on the mind's tightrope,

I too like this poem which offers such elegent imagery for contemplation by the reader. I do offer one suggestion though:
"A fisherman in search of truth
Will dive the deepest seas."
perhaps replacing 'dive' with 'trawl' would be more in keeping with the extended metaphor of the poem.
thanks for sharing. H
