I have trouble relating how Of Mice and Men relates to American culture! Any help would be appreciate.

How does the book relate to aspect/issue/development of American Culture? Any list of words that describe how it is related? Any examples?

Thanks

Have you read it? What do you think?

It's an American novel. It's set in Southern California. It contains American English dialogue. It was written by a famous American author. I find your request a bit nebulous and perhaps that is why you are having difficulty getting to grips with the concept of its connection to "culture". If you worded it more specifically you might find it easier to focus on and get to grips with its place in American literature. Steinbeck's characters are working class Americans and examining the effects of the Great Depression on the lives of such people is at least part of his aim in that novel.

I have but it was long time ago and I have to turn in book registry tomorrow. I have to give examples on how it relates to American culture so I dont have time to read the book. Once Im done with book registry I'll start reading the book

So what are you saying on how it relates to American culture?

It's actually not a long book and it's a pretty easy read. If you start reading now then you'd be done in just a few hours.

That's it. That's what I'm saying. It has iconic stature within American literature and has achieved the distinction of upsetting the easily upset.
