Oh to be a zombie
now that summer’s here
the endless fleshy picnicks
where I’d nibble at your ear
my moans would be of pleasure
and you would join me too
on Dartmoor at our leisure
where the purple heather grew.

Endless streams of grockles
who’s blood would slake our thirst
a never ending food chain
we could eat until we burst.
But those who don’t like walking
and stay inside their cars
we’d have our fun just stalking
and keep their bits in jars.

Had to look up "grockles," which I now assume must be rather tasty - as is your poem. Thanks.

Wickedly funny - you're really hitting a fertile patch H. Must be the exta protein in your diet!

Moooooan.... Yum yum, pass the salt.

To munch upon a grockle warms the cockles of my heart
and has been known to stimulate my craftsmanship and art
So thank you for your comments with regard to my new diet
I heartily commend it as you really ought to try it.

Monday is a fun day
a zombie in the sun day...

Please feel free to continue...

Live long and prosper - H

Remember, comrades, the blood is the life!

Bravo, Hawk!

This went down easy.
Easy as blood.

This is great! Zombie lovin' is the purest kind. It's all about seeing the inside of another human being, getting to know someone more for their brain than their body (though that's a part of it too), and going for long strolls together with friends. It's no wonder they smile all the time! (though I'm sure chewing off their lips helped as well).

:D Hi krymsonkyng, yes, let the zombie love-fest begin. Knowing someone inside and out and ignoring all their flaws and imperfections is the true path to table relationships!

Fear not Zoolane, you are in no danger ;)

Ok, H - gauntlet picked up and here we go :

Monday is a fun day
a zombie in the sun day...
Tuesday if it's raining
There'll still be time for training.
Wednesday is a crunch day
no humble pie for lunch day;
With bated breath let game begin -
once more the living dead must win.

- apologies to George Romero - but not to Capello's zombies!

I love the idea of the England team being equated with the living dead!

I didn't find grockle in my dictionaries, but think I understood enough to intercept that lascivious wink Summer seems to give you....
