Are any other university students here taking inter-session classes?

I do summer classes every year to help me keep up with the full-time students; and through the wonders on modern technology it's online. This year I'm taking a third-year course called 'The Novel'; which is a survey of great western cannon classics- almost all of which I've read before at some point.

Here so far is what we've read:

Don Quixote, Moll Flanders, Clarissa, and now we're deep into one of my favorite 19th C. novels: Middlemarch. It's a heavy reading list, but I'm really enjoying it.

Anyone else steaming through the summer months as well? What are your experiences with summer classes, online on on campus?

I'm full-time this summer (the third of five straight full-time semesters I'm doing ack).

Two of my classes are online, both of which I wish had lectures. One is a Pathology course that would really benefit from case studies which can only be done in person. The other is a Chemical Toxicology course that would be fine online except for the fact that there's a group assignment and we're graded on our participation in online discussion. There's no grading on participation in any in-class science course I've ever taken- why should there be for one that's distance-ed?!

Other than that, I don't mind campus in the summer. It's quiet and nice to just sit out on the green and do homework there instead of hiding inside from the cold.

I take summer courses; found them to be easier for everything but languages, which are hard. Generally, need to work hard to stay afloat, but other than that, they are relatively the same as any other classes, just crammed into less time, so retention is worse.

I never had a chance to take any, because I had to work full-time summers. I would have liked to because I think it would have really helped with my workload, especially in my final year.
