Business unusual
Situation normative, all systems are gone
Those aren't riots, they're progregations
Those aren't outlaws, they're lawless
Those aren't just frightened children
Those aren't just lost generations
They're saints in the making
Offerings to the future
Prayers incarnate
The rosary of ruin
The life and times of the rife and infamous
The Americana of raping a nation
Joan of the Arcade, The Roman Paul
Quarter for your pleasure
Penny for your thoughts
The Catechism of Freedom
but it takes too heavy a tongue to say that trash
Here is the United States of Whatever
photos cut from
desperate homes and better housewives' gardens
Leather jackets and chain gang habits
The Mohawks of modern scouts
painted like oriental fans
Baseball bats and tire irons
Rancid Ronin
Knocking over mailboxes
Tipping mail trucks
Molotovs and mail rooms
Melee
When the screaming souls have stilled their torches in the night
The bodies and the bones will fill with starlight.

Some incredible lines in this poem, and a lot of vividly tilted images - putting a new slant on what the media tend to airbrush or glamorise.

The rosary of ruin.....

and

Joan of the Arcade.....

memorable expressions.
Thank you.
