Hi,

I'm doing some research on American writers and am looking for critical literature about Richard Ford which does not necessarily praise his writing. Personally, I'm a fan of Ford's writing, but I'd like to know what critics who don't like his work think. For example, I remember having read a review which claimed that 'nothing happens' in Ford's short stories. If anyone can help me find this article and others like it, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks!

Not sure if it qualifies as 'critical literature' but Alice Hoffman had some less than kind things to say about The Sportswriter in her NYT review. I believe that Ford subsequently shot one of her novels and mailed it to her. So I guess there's a lesson there.
