Death, in its grim mask wielding the pale moon
Silently drifts - beneath the calm whistle of the wind
A haunting vignette lingering by the water of the pond
Reflecting the ghosts of the withered leaves that gently
fall. . .
Disturbing the stillness of my slumbering soul

Coronals of rue bloom with a haunting jaw
Across the gibbet - this crag that shall mark my grave
Must the blade of chance deal the mortal blow
Suffer my spirit not be kindled by the raging
hate. . .
Destined bloodshed manifesting my brutal fate

The dawn shall reveal the birth of my wraith
Blood I must shed - marks my honor and faith

I have a feeling
I will not be returning,
so among the names
of those who died by the bow
I inscribe my own.

There is a haunting beauty about this that will draw me back to re-read it.
Excellent stuff.
