I have come across numerous books in first and third person. But I haven't discovered any book in second person. Are there any books written in second person at all?

Why are books in second person so scarce? I guess it must be really difficult to write a tale in second person and keep it intriguing enough.

There hae been a few novels written in the second person, but it is a poor way to tell a story, so people don't write many.

The only book in second person that comes to mind is Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerney. I've never read the entire book, but judging from the excerpts, it's pretty decent.

If on a winter's night a traveler is a really excellent book.

Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas by Tom Robbins is written in 2nd person narrative and it is quite funny.

The only thing that came to my mind right away were those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books that I came across a couple of times as a child, but the list on the Wikipedia page shows that it apparently has been done in serious literature before. I might have to check a few of them out and see if they are any good.
