Sky looking so blue.
Summer, darling, always remind me of you.
Picnics in the park.
Fireflies lighting up the sky after dark.

Crickets serenading.
Stars parading.
The wind caressing the trees.
The scent of love on the breeze.

Wildflowers on the hillside.
You by my side.
Looking so sweet.
Like a cherry snow cone treat.

I think the strongest aspect of this is the vignette "list" aspect which starts at line 3 and carries on until the beginning of the third stanza. The succession of images really builds this up into a very lovely and sensuous mosaic.

I think it may just be because of my personal past, but I love this poem. It actually brought tears to my eyes since it so easily tapped into emotions to me. I say good work.

I can support many of the good things said about this but that final line, that image of a "snow cone treat" makes it seem like the work of someone very young and with a childlike view of love.
