I was bored today...

-----
Find a book and throw it,
Throw it as hard as you can
Throw it at a woman, or
Throw it at a man--
Just throw it.

Throw it from a window,
There are plenty of types to keep you busy:
A plane window,
Or a train window,
Or the window in your house
Or in your car...

Hell, you don't even have to throw it out,
Throw it in if that makes you feel better,
Just throw it!

Play catch with your kids,
Or make a touchdown
I don't care,
Just throw the damned book!

Heave knowledge at the æther,
See how far it goes.

Pages flapping in the air
Waving their goodbyes to you
As they make their arc towards the ground.

Hehe, I'm not really sure what the point of it, but I do like the originality and lightness of the piece.

Barbarous! How can you bring yourself to mistreat a book like that? (Barbara Cartland is fair game though).

Seriously though, it made me smile this morning. :D

Glad I could make you guys laugh. :biggrin5:

This little poem was actually the result of listening to too much King Missile and having a conversation with my dad about the phrase "to throw the book at somebody".
